This is a communication machine in Zurich, where bankers - through corruption or other
failings - are kept prisoner and as punishment, must service the building. However this is not a tool for humiliation, but a machine for interface between innovators and the public. The inmates are kept out of view, their tasks, meticulously planned in regimented spaces. The innovators however, are free to interact with the public in flexible spaces.
The guest spaces are expressed as timber volumes floating. This is wrapped in a public route through 10 stories - which at ground level incorporates the existing frequent market on the site. The inmates are condensed to a concrete plateau and service tower which has access to all served spaces.
